Sanrio Pop-Up Tour (USA)
To celebrate Sanrio's 50th anniversary, there is a Small Gift Mobile Pop-Up Shop Tour in the USA.
Starting
on October 23rd 2010, the tour launched in San Francisco. It will end
on December 10th in New York. It is essentially a truck bringing loads
of exclusive Kitty goods to sell, and Hello Kitty will appear for
photos. The merchandise are quite special and cute.
I am in
Canada and they are not visiting us here. Nor could I fly to these
pop-up tour locations. So wanted to go. Maybe another time.

いちご Days (Ichigo Days = Strawberry Days) Sept 2010 - Jan 2011
This is happening in Japan. Sanrio Japan teamed up
with the Daimaru Shinsaibashi Store in Osaka to hold a special event
called “Strawberry Days” at the beginning of September. This super cute
exhibition displayed nostalgic Sanrio products as well as “Sweet Hello
Kitty”, a yummy masterpiece made by Sweets Decoration Artist Osamu
Watanabe!
The fun festivities will
continue at the Daimaru Kyoto Store from November 3rd to November 16th
and at the Matsuzakaya Nagoya store December 23rd to January 10th.

so pretty, but too far to go. From various bloggers, I got to see some
pictures of this exhibition. They put out quite a collection of vintage
items as exhibit.
